Before I knew what I’m about to share with you, I was forever getting into an absolute painty (yes, I know, not a real word—but it should be!) mess. My palette was a disaster zone, and cleaning it felt like a battle I was always losing.
Then, one day, while watching one of my favourite abstract artists, Nicholas Wilton, he casually dropped a piece of wisdom that changed everything for me—wax paper in the paint palette tray.
Mind. Blown.
Many of you might already know this trick, but I certainly didn’t. And let me tell you, it has saved me from countless messy clean-ups. Now, I go a step further—I layer several sheets of wax paper in my tray. When I’m done or need a fresh start, I simply peel off the top sheet and bin it. No scrubbing, no dried-up paint disasters—just a fresh, clean surface ready for the next round of creativity.
Such a simple thing, but what a game-changer!
